Courting Trouble--Coming Soon
So this little gem is off to my editor.
Which means I am finished--for a while. I will of course have edits and revisions but a great deal of the work for Courting Trouble (Nov. 2012) is now complete.
With every book I write, when I turn it in, I expect that I should feel excited, elated, effervescent, but instead I get an untethered feeling.
Like this morning I am sitting around looking at all the things I could/should do and really not wanting to do any of them. I know that this lost feeling will subside. I know that this feeling is based in part in saying good-by to one project and not yet saying hello to another.
I also know this would be a very good time to clean my house.
(Ha! Like that's going to happen today.)
Instead, I am going to sit here and drink my coffee in my deadline-free world until whatever new characters I write about next pop into my head and begin to tell me their tale.
