The Glamorous Hollywood Girls Club

Yes, it is VERY good news for Hollywood Girls Club and the ladies within the covers of the book, Celeste (whom you can meet on the site as chaper 1 is posted), Lydia, Jessica and Mary Anne because these ladies have in fact been deemed Glamorous! Glamorous enough to appear in GLAMOUR magazine. Everyone pick up a copy of the April issue because HGC will get it's second review. In fact..hmm...here is an idea...while picking up your April issue of Glamour at the BOOK STORE, make sure to pick up your copy of Hollywood Girls Club (on sale April 3). 63 more days...63 more days

The Oscars

Let's dish a little...shall we? So THE award show to end all film awards shows is upon us...the gold naked man that all of us in Hollywood will do just about anything to wrap our grubby little hands around (and yes he is heavy) ... OSCAR. Yesterday, he (and Salma) told the world those films, stars, writers, filmmakers, executives et al that for this year have been sprinkled with gold glitter dust aka the license to print money for films that the general public won't go see...except now well they have to because they are nominated..or at least they'll rent them when they're out on DVD. Picks? You want Picks? Ohhhh...sooo easy. Child's Play..this year is the year that Oscar can say THANK YOU to at least two of it's always a bridesmaid never a bride fellas...Marty and Petey it's YOUR year.

Best Picture The Departed...although personally I beleive Babel is best and LMS was the most fun

Best Director Martin Scorsese

Best Actor Peter O'Toole...most nominated actor never to win.

Best Actress Helen Mirren

Supporting Actress Cate Blanchett..although I WANT Jennifer Hudson to win..such a Cinderella story.

Supporting Actor Eddie Murphy

My picks...not necessarily those that get my vote...but these are the peeps that in my opinion will be going home with Oscar.

Big Weekend

Let's Take the top three...shall we?

1. Hollywood Girls Club was reviewed by Publisher's Weekly, which to those who don't know is the Variety of the publishing world. The review hits stands Monday 1/15 however I have secured a copy...and I am DAMN excited. Not sure how I should take the power-puff line...

2. Maggie Marr the Website is up and running! (obviously or you couldn't see this). The site is a work in progress so please all comments, questions, ideas are welcome. You can reach me at maggiemarr@mac.com.

3. It is my FAVORITE weekend in LA it is Golden Globe Time!! Aside from the Grammy's this weekend had the best parties and excellent swag. The Oscars are fun too but a little stuffier...the difference between the two? Hmm, a kick ass party at your best friends house (the Globes) or a party at your boss' house (the Oscars).
